One.
To read the official rules (and all that legal stuff) go here.

You're entering to win a $50 iTunes Music Store Gift Card. So put some elbow grease into it. You can grab this sweet t-shirt template to help.

The first thing you're going to want to know is that you are in fact allowed to submit more than one design. Go nuts. We just ask that if you are making multiple submissions you don't send us a variation on a previously submitted design. In other words, don't just change the color and submit it again. Because we won't post it and it won't get voted on. So now you know. Don't do that. Also, please try and stick to the themes. It makes our lives a little easier.

Two.
Themes. You can choose from:
Theme 1: Make a Quick Buck

  • We understand that sometimes you're short on cash. And sometimes you have to sell things near and dear to you to get that cash. And we thought that might be kind of funny on a t-shirt.
  • Example: "What good is a lamp when you can't pay for electricity?"

Theme 2: Getting Rid of Unwanted Stuff

  • Ever get a terrible present? And then did you ever go and sell that present to some other sucker? Of course not. Neither have I. But you do probably have stuff you don't want. Make it funny and put it in your design.
  • Example: "Someone else might think velvet suits are cool."

Theme 3: This Picture

  • I'm not sure what I can say about this. It's here for inspiration. If you feel inspired, then that's terrific. If not, you can always choose one of the other two themes.

Three.
Third, the shirts are going to be white. You can, however, use up to four colors in your design. The simpler the better. If you only want to use one color, that's terrific. More colors = higher cost. So if you want to make my boss happy you'll take that route. If not, then you're like me and think more colors = better. It's up to you.

Four.
Fourth. Deadline. You have until midnight, November 24th to get your design in to us. You'll be able to vote on any of the designs throughout the duration of the contest. That means that the sooner you get your design in, the better your chances of being in the top ten are. After the 24th, you'll have another week to vote. That means that voting will end at midnight on Thursday, November 30th.

After we receive your design, we'll take a look at it, then put it up on the site. That usually takes about a day. Maybe less. It depends on how often I'm at my desk and not across the street conducting official intern business in the coffee shop.
